Eligibility Requirements

Residency

  • Applicant must be a business, industrial facility, or municipality located in a state and utility service area where the program is offered.

Employment

  • Applicant must be a business, industrial facility, or municipality.

Other

  • Equipment must meet specific efficiency standards or requirements as listed for each measure.
  • Equipment must be installed at an eligible location served by the specified utility.
  • Equipment installed only to meet energy code requirements is not eligible.
  • Applications and required documentation must be submitted by the specified deadlines.
  • Throttling or bypass devices must be removed or permanently disabled for certain equipment installations.
  • Compressed air systems must have a total capacity of 75 hp or less (not counting backup compressors).
  • Zero loss condensate drains have no size limit and must release no compressed air.
  • For certain measures, projects are subject to a cost cap and payback period limit.
  • Midstream incentives require equipment to be purchased through a participating distributor with a valid installation address.
  • For certain measures, energy savings and costs are subject to utility approval.
  • For certain measures, equipment must be retrofits (e.g., ECMs replacing shaded-pole or PSC motors).
  • For certain measures, equipment must replace or serve electrically heated water.
