- Helps people understand how to rebuild after a wildfire. The Roadmap to Recovery® Program provides free rebuilding guidance, step-by-step recovery planning, insurance claim assistance, home repair and rebuilding resources, educational workshops, expert advice, and disaster recovery support for California wildfire survivors recovering from the Eaton, Palisades, and other California wildfires. Free wildfire recovery education, insurance-claim guidance, rebuilding resources, workshops, and recovery planning for California wildfire survivors. Availability is tied to current United Policyholders recovery programming rather than a single universal 2030 deadline.
Eligibility — Residency
- Must be affected by the Palisades Fire or Eaton Fire in Los Angeles County.
Eligibility — Other
- Property must be damaged or destroyed due to the wildfire.
- Insurance company must provide at least four months of living expenses after a declared state of emergency.
- Request written documentation from insurance companies about reimbursable expenses and benefits.
- Must file an insurance claim with the policyholder’s insurance company for wildfire-related losses.

- Eligibility to register with FEMA if a state of emergency is declared.
Eligibility — Employment
- SBA re-opening Disaster Loan Outreach Centers to assist with loan documents, refinances, and modifications.
