About
- Provides free legal help to people affected by the 2025 LA County fires and windstorms, including FEMA/SBA issues, tenant rights, public benefits, unemployment/worker rights, health insurance, consumer protection/bankruptcy, domestic violence, and other disaster-related matters.
Eligibility — Residency
- Must show that you lived in the damaged home before the disaster date or prove that you and/or your co-applicant were living there when the disaster happened.
- Must be affected by the 2025 LA wildfires

- Must verify occupancy of the damaged home.
- Must verify identity.
- Must provide proof of insurance coverage or proof of denial/settlement from an insurance provider.
- Must demonstrate that damage is disaster-caused and sufficient.
- Applicant must have a disaster-related legal need within NLSLA's current assistance scope.
- Applicants must provide issue-specific records
- FEMA wildfire assistance remains available through specific deadlines depending on applicant type
